Hrvatska reprezentacija u australskom nogometu
proteklog je vikenda nastupila na meðunarodnom
natjecanju u Pragu. Turnir je drugi dio serije 'Tri
nacije' – natjecanje u kojem igraju Austrija, Èeška i
Hrvatska. Prvi dio serije odigran je u Beèu u lipnju,
a Hrvatska je ponovila svoj tadašnjih uspjeh, te je
pobjedama protiv Èeške i Austrije osvojila prvo
mjesto.
Hrvatska je otvorila turnir pobjedom protiv domaæina.
Nakon što je Austrija takoðer porazila Èešku, zadnji
susret je odluèivao pobjednika. Austrija je bolje
poèela i imala vodstvo na kraju prve èetvrtine ali
Hrvatska je nakon toga preuzela kontrolu te ostvarila
svoju drugu pobjedu.
Zadnji dio serije odigrat æe se u Zagrebu 6.
listopada, a Hrvatskoj je na tom turniru dovoljna i
jedna pobjeda da obrani titulu prvaka 'Tri nacije'.
CROATIA WINS PRAGUE CUP
The Croatian national team in Australian rules
football participated this past weekend in the Prague
Cup tournament in Prague, the 2nd leg of the ‘Tri
Nations’ series (contested by Austria, Czech Republic
and Croatia). The 1st leg of the series was played as
a part of the Central European AFL Championships held
in Vienna in June and Croatia once again beat Austria
and the Czech Republic to win the Prague Cup.
Croatia opened the tournament with a victory over the
hosts. After Austria had also proved to be too strong
for the Czech’s, the final game of the day decided the
winner. Austria started very well and led at quarter
time. However, Croatia got it’s game together to take
control of the match and achieve it’s 2nd win for the
day.
The final leg of the ‘Tri Nations’ series will be
played in Zagreb on 6 October, with Croatia requiring
only one win to retain the ‘Tri Nations’ title won
last year.
